The Association of Food Industries at the MAI represents all the food manufacturers in Israel. Approximately 200 food and drinks manufacturers, who produce a wide range of products, belong to the association.
The association promotes the development of the Israeli food industry, particularly small and medium-sized factories, and strives to create a supportive business environment for manufacturers in the sector.
It works together with the MAI’s various units to improve the landscape for food manufacturers and ensures that the entire range of food branches and companies are professionally represented at the individual, branch, and sectorial levels.
The association is active on two levels:
Macro – deals with regulatory bodies and statutory authorities on behalf of the food industry and all its branches as a whole.
Micro – assists individual manufacturers through the wide range of services offered by the association and the MAI.
The association directorate formulates policy and plans on a general scale and discusses ongoing and sectorial problems faced by manufacturers. Small, medium-sized, and large companies are represented on the directorate, which is elected at a general assembly.
