Avraham (Novo) Novogrocki

Avraham (Novo) Novogrocki is the President of the Manufacturers Association of Israel, married and a father of three. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Bar-Ilan University. Early in his professional path, he combined a technological background with four years of service in the Israeli Air Force, working on the fire-control systems of F-15 aircraft.

He began his career in 1983 at Scitex, first as an electronics technician and later in management roles in industrial engineering and information systems. After about 14 years with the company, he concluded his tenure as CFO of Scitex Israel, with global responsibility for information systems.

In 1996 he joined Packer Steel as Deputy CEO and CFO, and in 2007 he was appointed CEO of the company. Subsequently, in 2008, he was appointed CEO of Africa Israel Industries, and later served from 2012 to 2019 as CEO of Africa Israel Investments and Africa Israel Properties. During this period, he also held a range of chairperson and director roles across group companies, including Danya Cebus, Africa Israel Residences, and Africa Israel Hotels, alongside additional positions in group companies in Israel and abroad.

Since 2018, he has served as active Chairman of Had Asaf Industries, a company operating in Israel and Romania that owns subsidiaries in the fields of fencing and the supply of construction inputs. Since 2023, he has served as an external director at Dan Amad Real Estate and Dan Equity, and in 2025 he was appointed Chairman of Kal-Kar Ein Carmel. Alongside his business activity, he is a private investor and is among the founders of Salignostics (a saliva-based medical diagnostics start-up), where he served as an active advisor from 2021 to 2024.

Within the Manufacturers Association of Israel, since 2022 he has served as Chairman of the Metal, Electricity and Infrastructure Association and as a member of the Association’s Presidium. In the public sphere, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hadassah Medical Center Jerusalem, Laniado Hospital, and Ariel University, and also serves on the university’s Audit Committee.
